Ultrasonic Cutting Machine

This automated machine uses an ultrasonic cutting blade to cut around the perimeter of multiple different plastic blister pack packaging pieces for testing and inspection purposes.

An ultrasonic cutter device is housed inside a guarded enclosure and slides forward to expose the cutting blade during operation.

The blister packs are held on interchangeable mount plates using spring loaded clips and are positioned and rotated using a SCARA Robot so the specific profile of each blister pack piece can be fully cut.
